Gollum seeks to hold the ring more than Smeagol , and the only time (from what I remember in the books) that it is referred to as ‘our’ precious , is when Gollum is trying to get Smeagol to feel the same hatred. Gollum is very abusive over Smeagol , and you see that often in the books and films.
